Why I'm Camera-shy

I retired from local television in 2016 after almost forty years, mostly in news management. Feel free to enjoy this video of my excruciating bad, first-ever TV news live shot:

In retirement I’ve successfully resisted involuntary tasks of almost every sort, except a few involving my granddaughters. It’s been a challenge navigating my miniscule piece of the behemoth that is book publishing. Those ‘in the know’ about such things say authors should build their platform! be uber active on social media! write blogs! Send out newsletters! Frankly, I didn’t want to work that hard. I've already worked a lot of crazy long, hard hours in my life. But my first book will be released September 25th (Parallel Secrets, The Wild Rose Press) and I want people to read it. (I’d give it a solid 4.8 rating.) As a new author with a small publisher, I'm responsible for much of the marketing. I am resolute. I will have fun with this. So here I am. Hello. Please do come back and visit from time to time. Tell your friends.
